The West 2008 : In April, 2008, I drove across the country from Florida to Sacramento, with my Borzoi Fiona, to compete in the National Specialty show. Highlights of the trip were short visits to a friend in Santa Fe, the Grand Canyon South rim, Meteor Crater, Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park.

The trip home was faster, but we took time to visit the Mariposa Grove of giant Sequoias in lower Yosemite, and stopped a few times on Navajo land in New Mexico.

California July 2007 : We spent a few days in California in July. In cruising around with our friends, we visited the Paramount Ranch, site of Western movie sets and backgrounds. The dog show in Ventura was across the street from the beach, where the kite surfers were zipping about.

The Reagan Presidential Library : In September 2006, I went to Australia, and stopped in California both coming and going to visit with friends, Tom & Laurie Kasowski. Tom took me to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in the Simi Valley. Like any museum experience, one needs several days to see everything but we covered the highlights rather well. Many of my photos concentrated on the horse and ranching items, which are a personal interest, and obviously the love of President Reagan.

Australia : In September 2006, I visited in several towns in Victoria. The photos at the beginning of this gallery are from that trip.

In July of 2004, we visited Australia to judge dog shows. We spent almost a week in Queensland, and a few days in Victoria, and the remainder of the photo were taken then.

New York : We went to New York City in February for the Westminster Kennel Club dog show and arrived a day ahead of a record-setting blizzard. The city works quite well anyway, due to the subway system which was unaffected by snow. I rode a double decker tourist bus around at the beginning of the storm and took a few pics before the biting cold sent me to the heated lower level.

Zimbabwe sculpture Atlanta airport : Atlanta Airport has a large exhibit of sculptures from Zimbabwe in the underground passage between the main terminal T gates and terminal A. One can ride the moving sidewalk, or walk among them, rather than taking the train between terminals. It is a great way to pass the time on a long layover. There are also large photographs of African animals and people on the walls above the sidewalks. My photographs were shot quickly and are low resolution, so don't do these massive pieces justice.
